I arrived from an assignment at the USA Electronic Proving Ground, Ft. Huachuca, AZ in April 1988. I will never forget how thick the fog on "The Hill" was that afternoon. I loved the work, the people were great, the country was interesting and hated the separation from my wife and child. Went to the 311th at Ft. Campbell and ETS'd before Desert Storm.

Attached is a group of pages from the September 1987 Inscom Journal. That issue was devoted to several small articles about the hill. I hope they will be of interest.

Cover - INSCOM JOURNAL , September 1987.
TURKEY: USA Field Station Sinop
Editors Note: It took me a long to figure out this cover picture.
Apparently, it is photograph of Sinop shot through the opening in
a stone wall. This photo is then overlaid with the outline of a mosque
at the bottom and four minaretts extending up into the picture.

Marvin Holland notes: "The picture on the cover of the Inscom Journal
was taken through the ancient church ruins on "The Hill". "
