I just accidently came across your TUSLOG DET 4 web site.
Very Interesting and a pleasant surprise.
In the interest of completing the roll call, you may wish to add my name - Stuart Keen. I was there for 13 months between 1964 to 1965 (Tour of duty for Army personnel was just 11 months!). Col. Fetchman was the CO. I was sent to Sinop by USASA (Army Security Agency) and shared the 44 ft Arctic tower with Ron Richardson and one other. My immediate supervisor was Lt Ackerman.
What do I remember of Sinop? The rustic Diagnoses BOQ for sure, and the "picturesque" town of Sinop itself. I recall well traveling with Dr. Colombo to Hattusha (Hittite Capital 1750 BC), Amasia (I Came, I saw, I conquered), etc. Sinop was the starting stone for an adventurous life.
Retired from the Foreign Service (US Dept of State) in 1998 after working in 113 countries.
