SINOP DICTIONARY
AnonymousSinop ( Sin–opp ): From Krut ‘sign–off’, from Latin ‘beat–off’, from Greek ‘dicked away’. See also: HELL.
An imaginary town supposed to be in the land of ‘Krut’. The chief inhabitants are ‘98Js’ and ‘Abis’ ( see below ). The 98Js are reputed to be great and powerful wizards who live in a castle, called ‘Hippodrome on the Hill’, that is filled with many magical machines. The Abis live in a little town at the foot of the Hill, and are dedicated to the overthrow of the wizard 98Js in Hippodrome on the Hill.
Sinop fever: ( Burnout )
The terrible disease that afflicts 98Js. It is almost always fatal.
98J: ( Mentality-cus burned-outicus )
Most easily recognized by their universal greeting of ‘Suck out, GI’, and the empty, burned out look in their eyes and their ashen faces. One of a singular group of hapless individuals who all had the misfortune of saying ‘I do’ in the presence of recruiting officers, thereby dooming themselves to four years of ignominious service in such horrible places, which are even forsaken by the All-Father Crom, as Sinop
(see above) or Shemya. Their basic function is that of a modern day pirate, with large doses of harassing Abis thrown in to occupy off-duty hours. Yea, verily, theirs is a lot not to be envied, nor scorned, for their pent-up hatred and wrath is great and fearsome when unleashed upon one unfortunate enough to make sport of them. Fortunately for the 98J, this period of bondage lasts only four years, unless Father Crom shall smile upon their misbegotten souls and grant them a year hit. However, if they contract Sinop fever, they will re-up and spend the rest of their God-forsaken lives as slaves to that foul god ‘ELINT’ and his two demons, ‘SMAQ’ and ‘M/M’.
