Many thanks to Benjamin Winstead for sending along the two GIFs of the very interesting Ozekes Brothers knife maker's brochure.

Spent 91-92 at Sinop. It was an Army Field Station by then and was slated for closure as I departed. I believe it actually closed in 94.
I married a Turkish lady from Sinop and we now live in Glen Burnie Maryland with our two children, Benjamin Onur (6 months) and Emily Derya (4 years). I retired from the Army in 96 and now work for Affiliated Computer Services, Defense Inc. formerly Analytical Systems Engineering Corporation (ASEC) providing support to the Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM).
We will be leaving for England around the first week of October, new job, new
place.
I first visited the Ozeke brother's knife shop in 91, purchasing a couple knives for my collection. We went for a visit in 97 and of course, I had to add to my collection. I picked up the brochures then so they are "fairly" current. The pictures of the brothers is the same as on the brochures in 92 but the telephone/fax numbers appear to be updated. I have some newer (97) photos of Sinop and will scan and send sometime this week. I will ask my in-laws to get some photos of the base but I know it will look bad as it was run down and unkept in 97. Will write up a little about my tour and how I met and married a turk, that's a real story.... laterClick HERE to Email Benny
